Curacao Gambling Act is Going to be Cleaned up

Curacao is thought as the heaven to online gambling with many sites as numbered. The island has been ordered to clean up its shady acts regarding casinos. From the government of Dutch, a bailout package regarding finance has been declared recently. Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath of Curacao has already accepted this Dutch bailout package after a period of negotiation.

To combat the Covid 19 pandemic and to reduce spread, Caribbean island tourism has restricted its activities to a great extent. Earlier this month, Netherland sent a support package of $148 million dollars, and Curacao must abide by the imposition in return.

The imposition includes the tackling of financial and economic crime and ensuring the establishment of a regulatory body which will be independent of the gaming sectors online.

Curacao is part of the Dutch Caribbean now, and it was a former colony of the kingdom of the Netherlands. To launch its own licensing regime, the Dutch government is continuing its processing.

Four Master Licenses

Curacao is considered the early adopters of online gaming, and it started its licensing in 1996. It is using the same type of licenses until now. The government has issued for types of licensing, which gives great power to its holder.

The popular master licenses are Antillephone, Cyberluck Curacao, Curacao interactive licensing, and the Gaming Curacao. These licenses are also applicable to online gaming solutions. Licensed operators are not bad, and they can easily take the help of the jurisdiction to deal with the slacken oversight.

Curacao is regarded as the online gaming adopter from the beginning, and it started its licensing in 1996. It is using the same license from then.

The master licenses are issued by the government, which has given the powers to its holders to a great extent. As the economy has shrunk up to 30 percent, Curacao has no choice except this if they want to take the package of financial aid. A gaming control board is going to be established by the island government by September 2021.
