On Wednesday, Richmond City officials of Virginia announced that the race moved to the next phase to build a casino resort after considering the three submitted proposals.
To advance to the next stage Bally’s Richmond Casino Resort, Live! Casino & Hotel Richmond and One Casino+Resort selected by the City’s Evaluation Panel. Proposals no longer considered from the Creek Hospitality, Golden Nugget, and the Pamunkey Indian Tribe due to lack of feasibility of financial projections, lack of organizational experience and cite controls-related concern.
To support the vision for the resort casino in Richmond, the operators who provide details financial and operational analysis become the top-ranked proposals because they provide solid recommendations and the City of Richmond’s statement.
The Finalists
On the west side of Richmond, to build the casino resort $650 million proposals over 61-acre parcel over 1.6 million square feet consisting of the live entertainment area, casino with a sportsbook, dining amenities, pool, and spa and a 4-star hotel. The only projects are featuring an upfront payment of $100 million, Bally’s official outline.

At the intersection of Arthur Ashe Blvd and West Leigh Street in the City’s Scotts addition area, the destination of $600 million casino resort located, the second finalist, Live! Casino $ Hotel Richmond.
It includes 30 suits of a luxury hotel with 300 rooms, bars and entertainment venues, live entertainment venue, spa, fitness, 18 restaurants, event space of 40,000 square feet and a Cordish Companies put forward to the affiliate.
One Casino+Resort, the third finalist, proposed $517 million to develop a world-class entertainment, gaming destination at the south side of the city and dining, Urban One Inc. submitted it. It also includes a sportsbook, casino, luxury hotel of 150 rooms, restaurants and 12 bar, event space, and theatre. In the country, the only black-owned casino, the company branded the project like it.
